The Missions & Outreach committee provides oversight of local, domestic and overseas mission and outreach initiatives supported financially or by service from Christ Church.
“This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people, but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.” II Corinthians 9:12
Hamilton Hill and Vicinity Clergy was started in the City of Schenectady in 1997 and Father Brad Jones was part of the initial set of clergy that met to pray for their city. They were called on to help the Schenectady City School District during a crisis and have stayed involved since then.
March Schenectady for Jesus started in 2005 as the Hamilton Hill and Vicinity Pastors looked to bring an evangelism to the City Streets. Held the last Saturday in July, many of our parishioners joy the other 35 or so churches each year that walk our city streets and celebrate Jesus at Jerry Burrell Park.
July 26, 2025 marks the 20th anniversary of March Schenectady for Jesus. If you are interested in marching or participating in the after-party, please reach out to Deacon Dave. You may purchase an anniversary t-shirt for $8 through June 15th.
